Pastor Steve Brasington

Pastor Steve lovingly penned Pastor StevieB, has been apart of the Lamb’s Fellowship Lake Elsinore church since the inception, January 1997. StevieB grew up in the Catholic Faith, attending Catechism classes seemingly every Saturday morning, being discipled by his Auntie Lynn who was a Nun in San Diego; Sister Francis Carmen was her Catholic name change, and just loved church and being there. He loved Saturday evening mass at Holy Cross in Linda Vista, CA where a guitar and tambourine were played and where the love of worship through music started!

He has loved Jesus his whole life but really dove into his relationship with the Lord the summer of 1996 at our parent church, the Lamb’s Fellowship Murrieta. The love affair with Jesus Christ flourished under the Lamb’s Fellowship and the Free Methodist umbrella as he grew in discipleship and relationship. Pastor Steve has been an Ordained Elder since 2012.

Pastor Stevie loves to come alongside people in many capacities and wears a lot of hats at Lamb’s. He counsels, performs weddings, and officiates memorial services and funerals. He has run the Children’s Ministry, directed the Worship Ministry, and the Embrace Ministry which includes the Usher/Greeters. He helps manage the facilities at our wonderful church campus and loves keeping the dots connected. He has a B.A. in Physical Education from Chico State and an M.A. in Elementary Education in multiple subjects from Azusa Pacific University. His seminary work was completed at the FMUSA World Headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana and accredited through Spring Arbor University.

Pastor StevieB met the love of his life, Jennifer Johnson(lovingly called JB around Lamb’s Fellowship) in 2000 while the church was at the Cultural Center on Main Street. They were married in May 2002 and the first couple ever to be married in our stunning “Outdoor Amphitheater”. They have four beautiful adult kids and six scrumptious grandchildren. The grandparent season is all that and more.

He has a love for sports and is in a season of playing a lot of tennis with players from the Lamb’s Fellowship. StevieB grew up in San Diego so his love of the Chargers and Padres are at the top of his list. He has been a staunch Laker fan going back to the Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West days in the late 60’s. His love runs deep.

He was humbly, gratefully, and lovingly transformed by our Lord and Savior in the summer of 1996 and his faith in Jesus grows deeper everyday. Pastor StevieB’s relationship with Christ, loving others in Jesus, and waking up everyday to “do what he does” is basically Heaven, this side of Heaven, and is his delightful portion. Glory to God!
